This position is part of the Value Chain Optimization (VCO) team and will be responsible for process improvement solutions as part of the broader Value Chain Optimization efforts, including but not limited to material and energy balances, blending, quality management, oil movements, and operations execution management (rounds/logbook/handover). The position will report to the Global Optimization Director for Process Excellence and can be located at any MPC office-based location or worksite. Up to 25% travel can be expected. The selected candidate will be critical to the success of the VCO team, supporting initiatives around process and functional design, best practice identification and implementation, and assisting in the development of initiatives to close gaps. The candidate will have direct interaction with a wide array of organizations within MPC, MPLX, and third parties, with a focus on work processes, applications, and data flows across the value chain. The candidate will work closely with internal and external groups, and should be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, team oriented, and adaptable. This position is part of a job progression with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
