As a Process Operator in the Lafayette South Plant, you will be responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated, state-of-the-art system. This system produces distinctive, high-quality ingredients and solutions for the food, beverage, and other industries. You will utilize innovative technology in large-scale manufacturing plants to transform raw materials into ingredients that enhance taste, texture, nutrition, and functionality in products used globally every day.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.
  • Must pass a computer test, drug screen, and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, reactors, centrifuges, filtration and/or evaporation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated, state of the art system that produces distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.

  • Diagnose, operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems (mechanical and chemical).
  • Learn new concepts and information using process procedures, manuals and diagrams.
  • Clearly communicate ideas and information, both written and verbal.
  • Teach both technology concepts and operating procedures to other technicians.
  • Work a 12-hour days to nights rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules and overtime.
