Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must complete site specific safety training
  • Ability to communicate clearly to team members
  • Be able to follow and read instructions
  • Have basic math skills
  • CARBON (site specific): Be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training

Nice To Haves

  • Some manufacturing/plant experience
  • Forklift driving
  • Knowledge of computers

Responsibilities

  • Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
  • Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Reads and clearly follows processes that are required
  • Contributes to division results and performance
  • Takes care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
  • Operate equipment specific to area such as: CARBON: Bag products, samples and test; Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, run facility waste water treatment plant
  • Operate equipment specific to area such as: REGEN: Sort bottles by size and resin; load and unload deliveries to and from regional branch; Operates forklift to move bottles and materials through plant and load/unload trucks; evacuates bottles
