About The Position

The Process Technician is responsible for the setup, adjustments and troubleshooting of injection molding machines as well as the preparation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of materials and related production needs in order to facilitate production deadlines while adhering to related ISO requirements (9001:2015 standard).

Requirements

• Experience with injection molding machines.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with secondary equipment.
• Previous experience in a role requiring attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Setup, adjust, and troubleshoot operations of all injection molding machines and secondary equipment.
• Perform mechanical hookups as well as water, hydraulics, electric hookups and tooling.
• Maintain a deep understanding of each piece of equipment and the corresponding effects of adjustments.
• Understand how all steps of the process relate to each other.
• Change and mix materials and perform color changes.
• Communicate status of the process to operators, QA, other Process Technicians, or Production Supervisor.
• Assist Process Operators with equipment and material needs.
• Responsible for process documentation per ISO 9001 procedures.
• Operate secondary equipment, making routine repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Run a shift efficiently when alone.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new skills, development and training courses.
• Maintain prompt and reliable attendance.
