About The Position
As a Process Operator at Starbucks, you will play a crucial role in our Roasting Plants, where we celebrate coffee and its rich tradition. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment while ensuring the highest quality of our products. You will be part of a dedicated team that includes professional roasters and supporting process teams, including planning, warehouse management, packaging, maintenance, engineering, and logistics. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at optimizing production processes and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. In this role, you will participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits and follow up on corrective actions. You will perform daily sanitation tasks, isolate and lock out equipment, and write safety permits as required. Troubleshooting process interruptions and identifying root causes will be essential to minimize production downtime. You will also monitor environmental parameters to ensure compliance with permits and inform manufacturing partners and supervisors of any machine performance irregularities. Your goal will be to minimize production scrap, including materials and coffee products, while maintaining the quality of soluble coffee using analytical tools. You will be responsible for pulling samples, conducting lab analyses, and making process adjustments to meet defined specifications. Additionally, you will document changes to center-lined parameters and make recommendations for new process parameters through the appropriate channels. Training other process operators and preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new processes will also be part of your duties. As a key player in our team, you will demonstrate and understand safety as a core value, reinforcing and coaching others to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures. Your commitment to food safety, legality, and quality programs will be vital in maintaining product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices and quality procedures.
