About The Position
The Process Metallurgist I provides technical coordination and support in the QA, Rolling Mill and Melt Shop processes by overseeing process, practice and equipment monitoring, stabilization and improvements. This includes understanding customer processes and requirements, laboratory techniques used in steel analysis, implementation of new technology, planning, execution and analysis of new product trials, technical training and development of operations personnel, supporting process improvement and optimization, conducting technical studies to support CAPEX investments, implementing best practices, and participating in technical committees and benchmarking. The position is primarily responsible for developing, refining, and communicating strategies and operating information needed to optimize productivity while ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of final products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
