About The Position

We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. MGC Contractors, Inc is looking for a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer to join our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least Five (5) years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications
• Have the ability to lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping, and equipment such as Clarifier, Filters, Chemical Rooms, Aeration Basin System, Influent Fine Screens, and Pumps.
• Help monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors.
• Help the Project Superintendent monitor project labor.
• Understanding the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of different types of process piping materials and connections, PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
