About The Position

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a Process Engineer to support our growing Drinking Water practice. In this role, you will develop innovative solutions for tackling PFAS, drinking water treatment design, and water system planning. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 years (advanced degrees count as 1 year) of progressively increasing responsibility in the drinking industry including familiarity with drinking water quality and treatment.
  • Desire to develop strong project management or project engineer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports.

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental, etc.).
  • PE License.

Responsibilities

  • Work hand in hand with clients and project delivery teams in the northwest to develop unique solutions that protect public health.
  • Manage and execute PFAS-related water treatment projects, including process selection, preliminary and detailed design, and services during construction.
  • Assist in developing and preparing process design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, models, and other technical deliverables for a variety of drinking water projects.
  • Read, summarize, and prepare technical reports regarding water quality and treatment approaches.
  • Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional conferences.
  • Assist with business development pursuits.
  • Develop into a technical leader on water treatment projects.
  • Participate in professional organizations.
