About The Position

Brown and Caldwell's Nashville office is currently looking for an Inspector to join our growing team! We are seeking an Inspector that is eager to deliver our construction services. The primary responsibilities will include performing construction and field inspection on water or wastewater engineering projects. The candidate will work closely with strong technical experts and other leaders around the company. This role will be onsite at the City of Roseville full-time. As an Inspector, you will provide onsite construction inspection for the process-mechanical components of a Wastewater Headworks and Biosolids Dryer project in Nashville. You will conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, and codes. It is essential to become familiar with the project plans and specifications for enforcement of their requirements. You will coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will prepare daily reports documenting piping and mechanical equipment installation, manpower, and construction activities, along with daily progress photos. Your role will also involve documenting work not performed in accordance with the plans/specifications and advising the contractor's superintendent while noting this in daily reports. You will prepare preliminary punch lists and assist the Construction Manager in planning for and scheduling required inspections. Keeping detailed records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as-built drawings will be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring quality client services, clarity of work products and projects while promoting and integrating companywide initiatives and values is crucial. Lastly, you will ensure overall project quality and proper safety practices.
