Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in St. Louis, MO is seeking Process Mechanic - Tube Benders. This role involves setting up and operating power-operated NC-controlled tube benders, as well as performing various tasks such as inspecting, pressure testing, cleaning, swaging, squaring, burring, marking, finishing, trimming, cutting, identifying, masking, capping, preserving, and applying color identification. Mechanics will install several types of fittings and perform numerous end form operations. The position requires routing and trial fitting tubes on aircraft and mock-ups to determine size and shape, and the ability to read and work to blueprints, visual aids, work instructions, and process specifications. A variety of hand tools, power tools, equipment, and measuring instruments will be utilized. As part of a team, Process Mechanics will participate in decisions, manage daily work schedules, commit to team goals, coordinate communication, seek performance training, and engage in team meetings, while also initiating process improvements and implementing lean best practices. Additional responsibilities may include composite fabrication, precision assembly, performing engineering tests, modifying and fabricating tools, inspecting tools, developing documentation, bench assembling electrical components, machining parts, and applying painting/special coatings. This position is 100% onsite and requires meeting Export Control compliance as a “US Person”.
