About The Position

We offer our customers one of the most comprehensive product lines in the industry, featuring PVC, CPVC, Polyethylene, Geothermal, and PEX plastic pipe and tubing. We currently have an exciting opportunity as Process Manager. This impactful role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective setup and operation of production processes. It focuses on maximizing productivity, monitoring performance, and implementing process improvements to meet plant goals. The Process Manager will analyze and evaluate current procedures, recommend and apply corrective actions, and collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Excellence Leader, Set-Up, Maintenance, and Production Managers to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Requirements

  • Completion of college or university degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated practical experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with strategic planning, resource allocation, and team coordination
  • Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, 5S)
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MES systems (e.g., HYDRA)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PVC extrusion and/or molding processing and equipment (highly desirable)
  • Prior involvement in Health and Safety Committees is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of plastics processing and machinery operations
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
  • Comfortable with digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture focused on zero workplace injuries.
  • Ensure timely reporting of near misses, hazardous conditions, and first aid incidents to the proper HSE staff, and collaborate on preventive initiatives.
  • Lead and continuously improve the 5S program to maintain clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Ensure all facilities, equipment, and tooling are maintained to optimize productivity and meet safety, environmental, and productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement and improve process effectiveness, quality, simplicity and reduce costs.
  • Analyze operating data and cycle times to identify variances and implement improvements.
  • Attend daily operations meetings to review performance and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present operating reports summarizing production, downtime, scrap, and changeover times and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and manage capital budget expenditures related to processing.
  • Support employee development through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to training programs, succession planning and strategies for talent attraction and retention.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding of new employees.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to setup or processing and propose solutions.
  • Research materials and develop test procedures; schedule and report testing results.
  • Champion MES (Manufacturing Execution System) initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate time and attendance records for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduler to plan labor and machine utilization.
