About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs LLC has an immediate opportunity for a Process Manager at our Monessen facility located in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. The Process Manager will be part of a team leading and supporting Shift Managers and their subordinate crews to meet safety, environmental, quality and production goals by working collaboratively with our bargaining units, operations teams, and outside contractors.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited school
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment
  • Solid computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work self-directed, prioritize work and handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a coke making industrial environment a plus
  • An understanding of coke plant operations, including the inter-relationship of engineering with operation and maintenance function background is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to process standards; directs daily activity to maintain a highly productive operation
  • Ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Performs safety, quality, and environmental audits on a timely basis
  • Contributes to process development
  • Writes and documents standard operation procedures
  • Analyzes operational and maintenance delays, provides solutions for process improvements
  • Diagnoses operational process and performance issues, resolves immediate production and safety concerns
  • Directs employees to accomplish work, provides guidance on technical and process issues
  • Collaborates with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical resources to optimize daily production
  • Monitors the performance of external contractors to ensure a continuous operational flow
  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours, maximizes maintenance repairs during planned and unplanned downtime
  • Develops and conducts comprehensive training program
  • Other duties as assigned
