About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs, New Carlisle Works is seeking a Process Manager for Operations. This role leads Shift Managers and their subordinate crews to meet safety, environmental, quality, and production goals by working collaboratively with our bargaining units, operations teams, and outside contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 years of management experience

• Experience in the steel or metals industry

Responsibilities

• Adheres to process standards; directs daily activity to maintain a highly productive operation
• Ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Performs safety, quality, and environmental audits on a timely basis
• Contributes to process development
• Writes and documents standard operation procedures
• Analyzes operational and maintenance delays, provides solutions for process improvements
• Diagnoses operational process and performance issues, resolves immediate production and safety concerns
• Directs employees to accomplish work, provides guidance on technical and process issues
• Collaborates with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical resources to optimize daily production
• Monitors the performance of external contractors to ensure a continuous operational flow
• Responds to emergency situations during and after hours, maximizes maintenance repairs during planned and unplanned downtime
• Develops and conducts comprehensive training program
• Other duties as assigned
