The position involves installing, operating, and maintaining process equipment that supports clinical manufacturing suites. This includes a variety of equipment such as bioreactors, purification systems, purified water systems, tanks and skids, mixers, blenders, agitators, pumps, heat exchangers, columns, benchtop equipment, and local water systems. The role requires servicing and repairing equipment and systems to meet GXP requirements throughout clinical manufacturing and R&D laboratory facilities. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment problems, maintaining and updating maintenance records, and following all safety and environmental regulations are essential tasks. The technician will perform periodic equipment inspections to proactively identify maintenance and repair needs, direct and assist other technicians, and work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Collaboration with contractors and project management teams is also a key aspect of the role, along with developing necessary documents to support maintenance functions and monitoring BMS alarms.
