Process Maintenance Supervisor

About The Position

The Process Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for evaluating new and existing processes, developing preventive maintenance plans for equipment reliability, contributes to continuous improvement projects throughout the facility, and provides daily communication and direction to mechanics. This individual leads a team of 10-15 technicians and reports into the Technical Services Manager supporting the Memphis site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 6 years of manufacturing experience with an emphasis on process maintenance, required
  • Minimum of 6 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task under continuously changing business priorities
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Position calls for self-motivated, self-directed person with broad general knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Rewriting preventive maintenance procedures based on manufacturers’ recommendations
  • Review and evaluate existing and new processes, and developing a preventive maintenance system which implements CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) software
  • Performing job site inspections as part of GMP (good manufacturing practices)
  • Taking ownership of a small reliability projects from start to finish
  • Development of mechanical specifications for the preparation of P&ID’s, and P&ID database; such as numbering, tagging, graphical symbols, etc.
  • Generate the first material take off for piping and valves when required
  • Develop, improve, and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Direct and coordinate activities of mechanics engaged in repair, maintenance, rebuild, lubrication, and installation of machines, tools and equipment
  • Enforce OSHA , Company and Department safety and GMP policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work area
  • Work cooperatively within a team environment across all levels of the organization
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods of production this may include the selection, specification or design/redesign of equipment or methods to achieve the stated objective
  • Interface with vendors and customers as needed
  • Knowledge of, or ability to obtain, CAD drawing skills
  • Must be able to work alone and demonstrate independent problem solving
