About The Position

The Process Maintenance & Reliability Technician (PMRT) is to ensure plant assets operate in a safe and reliable manner and ensure product safety and quality through effective and efficient corrective and preventive maintenance practices. Additionally, the PMRT will actively support the hiring, training, and development of all skilled/semi-skilled technician roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Technical degree preferred.
  • Five+ years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required with at least two years of experience as a Technician within Trivium, preferred.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail with proven problem-solving experience.
  • Experience supporting production and maintenance of metal packaging materials a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and safe job procedures, standard work processes, BRC food safety initiatives, good manufacturing practices, and product quality requirements at all times.
  • Identify training needs for all Operator and DWI Technicians, working with the OTL to develop individualized training programs to close gaps.
  • Actively engage in and live out Trivium’s core values and guiding principles. Be a team member, treat each other with respect and a good steward of company resources.
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on various types of machinery including but not limited to: facility and utility systems, manufacturing equipment, tanks, piping, process controls, packaging machines and mobile equipment.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate failure mode and effects analysis, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to ensure the highest levels of asset and process reliability, availability, and quality.
  • Perform various testing and recording of data on rotating, pneumatic, and hydraulic control devices, safety systems, and other associated equipment and systems.
  • Analyze all types of mechanical or operational failures to determine and implement corrective action to eliminate recurrent problems.
  • Assist/Lead production with line setups, product changeovers, equipment overhaul, and autonomous maintenance activities.
  • Operate all machines so that repairs can be tested when completed.
  • Develop SOPs and Work Instructions for both routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and train others.
  • Independently troubleshoot equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability.
  • Assist with all tooling trials and product development initiatives.
  • Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, optimize existing PMs as well as develop new PMs to drive the maintenance program to become more proactive than reactive.
  • Actively support equipment effectiveness (TPM), workplace organization (5S) and GMPs.
  • Operate equipment and assist with daily operations as needed.
  • Work directly with suppliers, OEM vendors, and the ATC team to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
