About The Position

The Process Lab Technician plays a crucial role in executing tasks within the Research & Technology laboratories, ensuring that testing activities are maintained and results are consistent for customers. This position requires a blend of technical skills, effective communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a laboratory environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with advanced education required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of applicable manufacturing or industrial experience required; 1 year of pertinent experience preferred for those with an Associate's Degree in a technical field.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and laboratory workflow is required; familiarity with sample preparation and equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Advanced math skills and proficiency in computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets are necessary.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with reading micrometers and calipers.
• Familiarity with equipment operations in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned tasks and duties to support laboratory testing activities.
• Perform sample preparation and abrasive cutting as per work requests from Engineering.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
• Assist in maintaining current inventory of alloy materials for testing and distribution.
• Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Support process and procedural improvement initiatives alongside supervisors and lead technicians.
