GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated and talented student to join our team as a Process Integration Engineer Intern at our Malta, New York site for Summer 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced semiconductor manufacturing and contribute to real-world projects that impact next-generation technologies.

Requirements

  • At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Fluency in English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Experience in wafer processing or understanding of semiconductor processing knowledge.
  • IT skills to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Technology Transfer projects driving towards delivering New Product Introduction initiatives at aggressive delivery commits.
  • Gain insight into the business processes involved in securing future business for the fab.
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Engineering, Integration, Planning, and Line control to ensure successful New Product Introduction in a timely manner.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
