Process Improvement Specialist Mid-Level
About The Position
This position provides Process Improvement and Documentation Support to the FAA En Route Communications Gateway (ECG) group. ECG is a mission-critical interface for surveillance and flight data. It provides the portal for the transfer of aircraft flight plan and surveillance data to other En Route systems. Support includes: Maintaining and developing new Technical Instruction (TI) and System Support Modification (SSM) documents for Tech Refresh of the workstations, PDU sequencer, PTRs, Labs, hardware racks, and other components, as needed. Supports the process of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) along with configuration management. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Requirements
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of process improvement experience.
- Specific training and/or certification in one of the following: iCMM, ISO, CM or PMP is required.
- Knowledge of process improvement including quality control, quality assurance, tracking progress and status of documentation, and ensuring documentation is compliant
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Visio
- Experience in technical writing
- Experience in inserting and deleting graphics, charts, etc. is a must
- Ability to follow documented processes through project lifecycle
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of ticket/issue tracking software is a plus.
