About The Position

The Process Improvement Engineer plays a key role in building a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and lead process improvement projects that drive measurable results. You will support teams in every department as they adopt Lean, Six Sigma, Process Mapping, and Change Management tools to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall performance. This position is hands-on and relationship-driven. You will partner closely with leaders and staff to implement practical solutions, embed improvement methodologies into daily work, and ensure sustainable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on delivering exceptional service while building trust across all levels of the organization. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Location: Applicants must reside in the UPH geogrpahy of Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin. This position can be remote or onsite. Travel to our markets as needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience
  • Process Improvement experioence
  • Certification in at least 1 of the following: Lean, Six Sigma, WorkOut, Change Management
  • Experience with Charter creation, Process mapping, Gap Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Action Planning, Control Plan, Data Analysis

Responsibilities

  • Partners with key stakeholders and managers and provides consultation as a subject matter expert
  • Investigates core business processes, and develops recommendations for improvement and facilitates implementation to resolve matters of significance on behalf of management
  • Effectively facilitates a variety of audiences through a variety of methods
  • Carries out major assignments in conducting operations by improving processes and efficiencies
  • Partners with Analytics to support data collection and analysis
  • Organizes work efforts and accountability in a project environment
  • Prepares documentation and supplies
  • Strong understanding of process improvement tools and methodologies
  • Ability to mentor staff
  • Easily translates process improvement to individual needs with staff
