About The Position
The Process Improvement Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency within the Vehicle Production Center (VPC) and/or Product Development Center (PDC). Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, this position is responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement principles across all production processes. The engineer will develop, maintain, and control these processes while ensuring effective communication with both line and staff members to monitor and report on the progress of key initiatives. This role involves presenting data-driven opportunities, statistical analyses, observations, and recommendations to the leadership team, thereby contributing to strategic and operational decisions related to process redesigns, equipment modifications, and tooling changes. In addition to driving continuous improvement, the Process Improvement Engineer will utilize data analytics and statistical analysis to identify opportunities for quantitative process improvement projects. The engineer will also maintain an awareness of leading-edge technology trends in manufacturing and material handling, design job instructions, and develop standards and documentation related to facility planning, process design, and vehicle flow. Training associates in continuous improvement concepts and coordinating with other departments to ensure that accessories launched at the VPC are suitable for a high-volume manufacturing environment are also key responsibilities of this role.
