SUMMARY Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes for assigned production areas. This involves creating, revising, and ensuring the compliance of SOPs, providing training to employees, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency and ensure adherence to quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · SOP Development and Maintenance: Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current best practices and compliance with industry regulations. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of SOPs. · Training Delivery: Manage assigned SMEs to develop and deliver training programs and materials based on documented SOPs. Conduct training sessions for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with SOPs. Collaborate with other process improvement coordinators for business alignment. · Process Improvement: Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvement. Analyze existing processes, gather data, and recommend process enhancements or automation. · Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to oversee the effective implementation of Quality Change Notifications and manage the quality-related aspects of these changes. · Problem Solving: Conducts Root Cause Analysis and implements Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) as necessary to enhance and optimize established processes. · Change Management: Promotes a culture of heightened awareness in effective Change Management practices. Spearheads collaborative initiatives in area of responsibility and across the operation to integrate new products or processes into the production lines. · Promote Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with all employees and departments to collect valuable input and feedback for SOP refinement, process enhancements, and lean Six Sigma initiatives. Act as a catalyst for effective communication and knowledge exchange pertaining to SOPs and best practices in lean manufacturing. Food Safety Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. Computer Skills: Extremely proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internal software programs) experience using spreadsheets, and databases. Certifications: Possession of professional certifications in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, operations management, or a related discipline or an associate degree or relevant certifications or substantial practical experience in process improvement. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms. · The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
