The Process Improvement Consultant will collaborate with internal and external leadership team and stakeholders to drive change by championing identification, prioritization and execution of projects designed to deliver significant business results, transform culture, and achieve business objectives. The Process Improvement Consultant is responsible for working with System Office and constituent institution partners to ensure overall success of the process improvement implementation, Organizational Assessments, and Change Management Initiatives. Specific deliverables will include, but will not be limited to, SIPOC Documents, Process Maps, Value Stream Maps, Client Value Calculations, Pain Point Prioritization Artifacts, Root Cause Analysis Displays, Solutioning Recommendations and Scheduling along with Controls and Risk Remediation Analysis. The position is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, documentation, and implementation process for any consulting engagements assigned - whether business process improvement engagements, operational assessments, or change management initiatives. The Process Improvement Consultant will manage and facilitate design sessions, conduct informational interviews, identify, and help implement KPIs, and use data and statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize projects. The Process Improvement Consultant may be responsible for only one process improvement project at a time or may support 2 to 3 projects depending on complexity. Strong facilitation and relationship building skills are vital within this role. This position is a hybrid work arrangement and will work 2-3 days per week at the Dillon building in downtown Raleigh's Warehouse District. UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
