General Description: The Process Improvement Consultant II will drive the optimization of clinical workflows and operational processes OU Health. The consultant will work closely with healthcare providers, administrators, and staff to identify inefficiencies, implement evidence-based improvements, and support the center’s goals for patient care quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This role coaches and mentors process improvement efforts that are moderate level of difficulty, mentors junior staff and engage directly with leaders to drive change. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Lead and execute multi-departmental or cross functional process improvement initiatives utilizing 8 step, lean, lean six sigma or similar methodologies Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administration to identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze workflows, data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint inefficiencies and areas for optimization. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate staff on process improvement tools and techniques. Develop process maps, value stream analyses, and other documentation to capture current and future state workflows. Assist in designing and maintaining dashboards to track project outcomes, performance metrics, and sustainability. Provide ongoing support to ensure that new processes are integrated and standardized Partner with leadership to align process improvement efforts with the organizational strategic goals. Monitor the outcomes of improvement projects and ensure that gains are sustained over time. Stay current on best practices in healthcare operations and process improvement methodologies.
