About The Position

The Process Improvement and Training Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency within the plants. This role also leads the design and delivery of technical and operational training programs to ensure employees have the skills, knowledge, and tools to perform safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial operations or related supervisory experience.
  • LEAN, Six Sigma, 5S experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with navigating federal, state and local regulations.
  • Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter and able to take responsibility and initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job and team.
  • Be familiar with and follow the CRH Life Saving Rules in compliance with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to, ATF, DEP Mine Safety, DEP Air Quality, MSHA.
  • Analyze current production processes for inefficiencies or bottlenecks and come up with solutions to implement.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant processes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to throughput, quality, safety, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Develop, update, and deliver training programs for plant equipment, processes, and safety standards.
  • Create and conduct skills gap assessments for plant personnel.
  • Conducts and directs training of employees and motivates work force to accomplish both location and company objectives.
  • Train supervisors and operators on new SOPs or process changes.
  • Create visual aids, job aids, and hands-on demonstration materials to foster better learning.
  • Partner with Safety and QC to ensure all improvements are in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely updates on project progress, results, and challenges to the operational management team.
  • Participate in plant staff meetings and management team meetings (as applicable), and on-call duties.
  • Ability to fill in for supervisors when needed.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed.
  • Travel as necessary.
