About The Position

The Process Improvement & Executive Analytics Director plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting executive decision-making through exceptional data analysis, insights, and reporting. This position serves as the analytical engine behind process improvement initiatives and the trusted source for executive-level performance metrics. The role blends deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role, preferably with a focus on operational improvement and executive reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' and understand business drivers behind the numbers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for translating complex analysis into plain language.

  • Experience in North American for-hire truckload transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with VP of Process Improvement to provide full-cycle analytical support on strategic process improvement projects.
  • Gather and validate baseline data at the start of projects.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and 'stories' that reveal powerful insights.
  • Refine and enhance data throughout the project to drive informed decisions.
  • Design scorecards and dashboards to measure implementation success and track follow-up performance.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide change initiatives and promote accountability.
  • Produce and maintain the CEO’s daily, weekly, and monthly scorecards used on the national morning call and the monthly business reviews.
  • Update and maintain the operational metrics used in our financial reporting system (Vena).
  • Collaborate directly with executives to ensure reports are accurate, relevant, and aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Anticipate executive needs and proactively innovate and deliver information that supports better, faster decision-making.
