The Process Improvement Analyst supports various business units under the direction of the Process Improvement Manager in regards to process improvement opportunities. The Analyst supports continuous improvement and end-to-end process optimization across functions; by eliminating waste and streamlining and standardizing current processes.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities for cost and risk reduction, efficiency gains and enhanced levels of service particularly surrounding functions that require manual effort
  • Conducts analysis to determine root causes of identified problem areas and provide inputs into recommendations for process change
  • Provides reporting on the financial impact and ROI of Process Improvement projects
  • Gains a detailed level of understanding of the business units within Servicing, their systems, processes, risks, opportunities, etc.
  • Identifies and documents business requirements
  • Prepares and/or analyzes current process flows and recommend/implement future state solutions
  • Analyzes process change requests and provides insight on their impact on existing processes, data gaps, organization, risks, controls, roles and systems
  • Ensures on time, on budget and on scope delivery
  • Independently leads and assists with projects, including major activities as Identifying business improvements/solutions, Business case development, Identifying, measuring and analyzing Loan Servicing operational data, Requirements definition, Process and organization design, Procedure development, Implementation and control of process change, Ongoing solution analysis
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years Mortgage Servicing experience, including documenting and/or managing processes
  • Ability to drive and/or manage process improvement initiatives
  • Functional/Technical Knowledge - Understanding of Loan Servicing including FNMA/FHLMC/HUD/VA servicing requirements
  • Highly organized
  • Experience with issue resolution and group facilitation
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for all levels, including Senior Management
  • A confident self-starter, ability to work effectively without close supervision
  • Delivery focused with meticulous attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of standard desktop applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
