The position involves designing and optimizing process flow systems for ingredient processing operations. The role requires analyzing existing production workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, developing technical specifications for equipment and system modifications, and creating and maintaining process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). The successful candidate will implement process control strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality, collaborate with operations, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues, and ensure all processes meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role includes leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and production costs, participating in capital project planning and implementation, troubleshooting complex process problems, and training operations staff on new processes and equipment.
