About The Position

The Process Excellence, Audit, and Controls Analyst is a detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for conducting internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify areas of improvement, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. The Analyst will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of auditing principles, and can communicate audit findings clearly and effectively. The Process Excellence, Audit, and Controls Analyst will play a crucial role in the organization’s Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) activities by assessing, monitoring, and enhancing internal controls and processes. The Analyst will participate in business process walkthroughs to understand and identify key controls, keep abreast on control-impacting business changes, effectively and efficiently test key controls, and monitor action plan remediation activities. The Process Excellence, Audit, and Controls Analyst will evaluate and improve end-to-end business processes by identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for optimization, applying continuous improvement methodologies, and partnering with stakeholders to design scalable, efficient, and well-controlled processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Relevant work experience (1-3 years) including control identification, testing, and process improvement
  • Strong skills in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Understanding of business processes, financial reporting, and information technology audit and control frameworks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CIA, CPA, or CISA or a desire to obtain an advanced degree or certification
  • Prior Internal Audit, External Audit, ICFR, or process evaluation and design experience
  • Experience with data analytics tools
  • Previous telecom experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of internal audits across various departments to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls.
  • Develop and execute ICFR test plans to assess the effectiveness of controls over financial reporting including thoroughly and clearly documenting the testing workpapers.
  • Effectively identify root causes, best practices in control design and operational effectiveness, and communicate results to management.
  • Drive measurable improvements in processes by translating process insights into sustainable, value-added enhancements, influencing process design, embedding strong controls, and promoting scalable, efficient ways of working
  • Partner with management to monitor the progress of recommendations to ensure action plans are timely and accurately implemented.
  • Collaborate with and educate process owners regarding the importance of maintaining strong internal controls and the role of internal audit.
  • Develop working relationships with Business Process owners to maximize the cohesiveness between the teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.
