About The Position

The Process Equipment Engineer role at GSK involves leading equipment and process performance analysis to enhance operational efficiency and reliability within a GMP packaging facility. The engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing capital projects, and ensuring compliance with EHS and GMP regulations. This position offers an opportunity to influence process improvements and engage in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical position within a GMP packaging facility.
  • At least 1 year of experience with quality management systems including CAPA and change controls.
  • At least 1 year of experience executing validation protocols.

  • Process expertise in packaging technologies and automation systems.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Experience in managing maintenance teams and creating shift schedules.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MES, and OEE tools.

Responsibilities

  • Track OEE metrics and perform data analysis to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Review production exceptions and collaborate with technicians to resolve issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the development and execution of OEE improvement plans.
  • Lead Maintenance Excellence initiatives and evaluate maintenance plans for new equipment.
  • Develop work instructions for new processes and equipment.
  • Support advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for equipment issues.
  • Lead projects for modified packaging components, including developing User Requirement Specifications and coordinating design and installation.
  • Conduct quality and EHS risk management activities such as FMEAs and safety audits.
  • Author protocols and reports for engineering studies and validation activities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as the technical SME.
  • Lead capital projects, securing funding and managing CAPEX budgets.
