This position ensures optimal machine performance and consistent production quality by maintaining process parameters, troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation —delivering high-quality output within Amcor's defined cycle times and standards.

  • Be a role model of Amcor's Values (Safety, Customers, Winning, Agility, Sustainability) and Behaviors (Doing the Right Thing, Championing Customers, Dreaming Big, Making Things Happen, Playing for Team Amcor).
  • Review all machines cycle times and current cavitation and compare to standard.
  • Coordinate with supporting departments to improve cycle time and regain cavitation where needed.
  • Process development and optimization of new and existing molds.
  • Provide technical support to Process Technicians and supporting departments.
  • Run samples/trials based on direction from Process Engineering Supervisor.
  • Update and/or create process documentation as needed.
  • Evaluate processes across molds, automation, materials, and machinery to identify and resolve issues.
  • Compare current run settings with saved process documentation or setup sheets.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis before making any adjustments.
  • Clean molds and inspect cavities for wear, damage, or blockages.
  • Fine-tune automation systems including, suction cups, label placement, and part handling.
  • Verify proper mold cooling and water flow during operation.
  • Generate work orders and communicate with maintenance, toolroom, engineering, or automation teams for support.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to support departments when needed and time allows.
  • Successful completion of evaluation test and interview process.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and engage team members.
  • Understanding of scientific injection molding principles.
  • Technical aptitude with solid business and organizational know-how.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, analyze production data, and adapt to operational changes.
  • Quick learner with an understanding of department operations and company procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
