We are looking for Process Engineering Technician II to join our talented team in beautiful Laguna Niguel, CA. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will: Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing. Executes equipment installation qualifications. Work with other technicians/operators to implement assembly techniques, inspection methods and required documentation. Work with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time and yield targets. Leverage previous methods/processes/equipment/tooling on new applications. Verify components meet specifications through benchtop, functional, and load testing. Work with engineers to generate draft work instructions, test methods, and visual standards. Supports process characterization by collecting and analyzing data. Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and company Operating Procedures: line clearance, work instructions, lot travelers, etc. Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvements. Maintain cleanliness of the work environment. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing (catheter assembly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability with typical processes/methods/equipment/tooling related to medical device manufacturing and inspection (catheter manufacturing preferred).
  • Able to troubleshoot typical issues on existing processes/methods/equipment/tooling.
  • Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand inspection requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical device processing equipment and manufacturing processes (catheter manufacturing preferred).
  • General knowledge of some of the following process: Braiding, Adhesive Bonding, Lamination, Die Bonding, Machining, Injection Molding, Laser Welding.
  • Attention to detail, professional attitude, team player
