The Process Engineering Manager at Ducommun Incorporated is responsible for overseeing the Process, Project, and Manufacturing Engineering functions at the site level. This role provides strategic and tactical engineering leadership to support critical site engineering functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and profitability. The manager will lead a contract electronics assembly manufacturing engineering team, focusing on customer specifications and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee the engineering function in capability planning, project and manufacturing engineering, and process engineering.
  • Support cross-functional teams for continuous improvement in Product Integrity, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Participate in the annual operating plan and long-range strategic planning, with budgetary responsibility for the Engineering Department.
  • Represent the engineering capabilities of the business during customer visits to address complex needs.
  • Lead New Product Introductions and Process Development Teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct engineering and facilities to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of engineering experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Proficient in technical writing and documentation with attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
