About The Position

Dekoron Wire & Cable LLC, part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is offering a summer internship opportunity. This internship is designed for early-in-career talent, providing a platform for professional development, networking, and exposure to real-world projects. Interns will have the chance to work on meaningful projects that contribute to operational efficiency and gain valuable skills in systems development and process optimization. The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August, with flexible start and end dates based on school schedules.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering (General, Manufacturing, Electrical, Process).
• Rising Senior.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage various tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of procurement.
• Knowledge of time and movements study.
• Familiarity with computer software (mainly Excel, databases, and MS Word).
• Initiative and eagerness to contribute to projects and tasks.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement a functional database system to track the usage and refill of tooling needed on production lines.
• Work closely with teams from PITT, Production, and Product Engineering.
• Develop systems and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and problem-solving.
