The Process Engineering Intern (Fab) position is based in Indianapolis, IN, and involves developing and maintaining processes for robots in our fabrication department. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • In process to obtain Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree
  • Training or experience with technical process, machining, stamping, fabrication
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Ability to establish priorities and follow up on tasks to be completed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing new processes to the plant
  • Problem solve machining and stamping issues
  • Program CNC machines, G-Code and conversational
  • Support rebuilds of old equipment to like new condition
  • Identify critical spare parts and partner with maintenance to improve process reliability
  • Support shop floor layout with AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Collaborate with other plant employees and work in a team environment
  • Keep abreast of latest technology and recommend new process improvements
  • Effectively communicate in a professional, positive manner, with all levels of the organization
  • Develop work instructions and standard work to support the shop floor
