About The Position
The position involves leading by example and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures. The role requires fostering a positive and respectful work environment that reflects the organization's core values. Responsibilities include training and guiding team members to prioritize safety and minimize environmental risks, supporting final design concepts, configurations, and installation of Melt Shop and Roaster equipment and processes at the Zanesville Plant prior to start-up, and providing technical support during commissioning and start-up phases. The candidate will continuously assess and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, capacity, throughput, quality, and efficiency, while collaborating with Operations and Engineering teams to optimize production and reduce costs. Leading continuous improvement initiatives, collecting and analyzing operational data using scientific and statistical methods, and supporting capital improvement projects are also key responsibilities. The role may require conducting risk analyses of equipment, processes, and systems, and serving as a backup supervisor for the Operations department as needed.
