About The Position

In this role you will own the budget and performance of a packaging line in our operations department. Attending production meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet critical metrics, troubleshooting equipment concerns on the fly, developing relationships with technicians, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical degree
  • 5 years of experience as Systems Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Computer Engineer
  • Experience in Industrial Automation using Rockwell / Siemens/ B&R Automation PLC's or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Industrial Network Communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet)
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical system drawings
  • Sophisticated troubleshooting skills with high-speed manufacturing equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred
  • Experience in systems configuration and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with coaching and training skilled trades in a unionized environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to support improvement in safety and quality performance
  • Support plant operations by maintaining process control systems
  • Provide training and sophisticated troubleshooting to the site
  • Implement standards at the site that ensure global consistency of manufacturing systems
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with: Plant operations team, Plant quality team, and the CAPEX Engineering Team
  • Own the implementation of process improvement and/or innovations-based projects
  • Utilize problem solving/6 Sigma lean manufacturing to achieve both financial / operational performance targets
  • Support CAPEX Engineers for viability and cost return projects
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays to support the brewery operations and project execution
