About The Position

GEA is seeking Process Engineer to join our team based out of our brand-new, state of the art facility located in Janesville, WI. As a Process Engineer, you would be responsible for supporting customers by optimizing GEA centrifugal equipment after delivery, supporting sales development, spearheading R&D efforts for new product development, and much more.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of industry experience (preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industries).
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
  • Rockwell Programming Experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve on processes for assigned GEA Markets, with the emphasis of GEA mechanical separation technology.
  • Startup and commission GEA centrifuge equipment.
  • Support Sales Initiatives in developing innovative solutions for customers.
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Prepare and process samples for spin down studies and facilitate Design of Experiments for further testing and product development.
  • Collect, record, and transcribe data in detailed reports.
  • Maintain testing equipment as required and needed for job responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process (both upstream and downstream of GEA equipment).
  • Ability to train customers on proper and safe use of GEA equipment.
  • Ability to train other GEA team members on both equipment and processes.
  • Work with Project Engineering to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions for future projects.
  • Works effectively in an interdisciplinary work environment.
  • Ability to read/interpret P&IDs, General Arrangement (Mechanical Drawings), Electrical Schematics, and other engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work in multiple GEA markets, with the emphasis on the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries.
  • Familiarity with process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in machine/system control systems.
  • Learn/utilize Rockwell Programming software to make minor edits to programs, collaborate with Automation Engineers, and support startups.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
