About The Position

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:  Lead cost improvement projects in quality and productivity.  Prepare and implement capital improvement projects and actively participate in the development of lean processes.

Requirements

  • 4-year engineering degree required
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience required
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and / or Green Belt experience required
  • Project Management Professional preferred
  • GD&T, APQP, and Product Design / Launch experience preferred
  • Mini Tab experience preferred
  • Experience in SMC processing from formulations of mix to finished product preferred
  • Experience with compression molding preferred
  • Experience in steel stamping or processing preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Training experience: leading and facilitating
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
  • Strong ability to drive change

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for specific sets of processes (more than one) i.e. PUR, foam, roll forming, steel stamping, machining, etc.
  • Development of standard work instructions for assigned processes
  • Develop and facilitate process improvements for assigned processes
  • Work with quality and production to identify gaps between current process and standardized work and develop corrective actions to resolve
  • Develop production process goals designed to meet sales and budgeted targets
  • Complete process improvement projects designed to meet or exceed sales and budget goals
  • Identify and resolve process and quality problems for assigned processes
