Process Engineer – Greenfield, IN Join our Greenfield, Indiana team as a Process Engineer developing and improving manufacturing processes in a light assembly and fabrication environment. You will lead continuous improvement projects, manage capital equipment investments from business cases through launch, and design tools and fixtures to drive productivity and reduce labor and overhead costs. Preference will be given to candidates with electrical engineering education and hands-on industrial automation experience. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering (or coursework/experience in electrical/control systems).
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation: PLC programming/configuration, HMI development, and vision system integration/troubleshooting.

  • Previous work integrating robotics or automated material handling in production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage capital equipment investments from business case through production launch.
  • Lead process improvement projects to meet plant productivity targets.
  • Design and procure tools, jigs and fixtures, support tool maintenance and MRO stocking.
  • Troubleshoot and support existing work cells experiencing equipment or process issues.
  • Initiate stocking of expendable tooling and critical spares in the MRO crib.
  • Submit Engineering Changes and update Bills of Materials.
  • Update cycle times and product routings in the ERP system and submit configurator updates as required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Sustaining Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operational Excellence, and Operations.
  • Use problem-solving tools such as PFMEA, SWOT, PICK charts, and DMAIC.
  • Support and specify automation and control solutions (PLCs, HMIs, vision systems) as required for new equipment or process upgrades.
