About The Position

Process Engineer, AMG Vanadium LLC, Zanesville, OH. Prov process eng & tech support for Melt Shop (Electric Arc Furnaces) & Roaster ops. Comply w/ safety & environ reqs & policies & procedures. Train & prov guidance for team members to ensure safety & mitigate environ risk. Prov tech support & troubleshooting expertise to ops personnel. Monitor process control metrics & implement/suggest corrective actions to maintain quality & throughput targets. During ongoing ops, dev, assess & implement process improvements that increase equip reliability, productivity, capacity, throughput, quality & efficiency & work w/ Ops & Eng to optimize Melt Shop & Roaster prod while reducing cost. Collect data & apply standard scientific & statistical methods to measure, analyze, doc & evaluate operational processes, & dev & maintain reports to track & monitor key data. Support capital improvement projs. Conduct risk analysis of equip, processes & systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Metallurgical Eng, Chem Eng, Earth Resources Eng or Mining Eng
1 yr exp w/SPC & DOE methods
1 yr exp w/lean mfg principles
1 yr exp w/MS Office (Excel)
1 yr exp w/statistics software, data mgmt & programming principles
1 yr exp w/ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

Responsibilities

Provide process engineering & technical support for Melt Shop (Electric Arc Furnaces) & Roaster operations.
Comply with safety & environmental requirements & policies & procedures.
Train & provide guidance for team members to ensure safety & mitigate environmental risk.
Provide technical support & troubleshooting expertise to operations personnel.
Monitor process control metrics & implement/suggest corrective actions to maintain quality & throughput targets.
Develop, assess & implement process improvements that increase equipment reliability, productivity, capacity, throughput, quality & efficiency.
Work with Operations & Engineering to optimize Melt Shop & Roaster production while reducing cost.
Collect data & apply standard scientific & statistical methods to measure, analyze, document & evaluate operational processes.
Develop & maintain reports to track & monitor key data.
Support capital improvement projects.
Conduct risk analysis of equipment, processes & systems.
