About The Position

EPCOR is hiring a full-time, permanent Process Engineer to join our North American Commercial Services (NACS) team in Round Rock, Texas. This is your opportunity to manage the full lifecycle of high-impact infrastructure projects — from concept through commissioning — while shaping the future of sustainable utility services across Texas and beyond. This is a hybrid position and requires traveling, frequency will depend on the business need.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer’s License in Texas or willingness to obtain one.
  • Minimum five years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, project management, and infrastructure operations.
  • Advanced understanding of water/wastewater treatment systems and current technologies.
  • Expertise in designing and standardizing technical requirements for engineering projects.
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Intermediate understanding of utility operations and familiarity with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead conceptual design and preliminary engineering for prospective water projects.
  • Design and implement technical specifications and engineering standards to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Analyze contract terms from an engineering and technical standpoint to mitigate risks and ensure deliverable integrity.
  • Select engineering consultants and construction contractors through value-based bidding and proposal review.
  • Manage and administer engineering consultant and construction contracts.
  • Review and evaluate design and technical documents prepared by consultants.
  • Manage and execute startup and commissioning activities for new facilities.
  • Coordinate design and construction activities with Operations staff.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies, utilities, and property owners to secure permits, licenses, and approvals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Operations teams.
