About The Position

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as Process Engineer in our Moorhead, MN factory. The purpose of this position is to identify process changes to increase factory throughput and sugar recovery as well as reduce processing costs. The Process Engineer assures that resulting programs are effective and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability. Identifies changes in production that will improve process efficiencies and quality while reducing costs. Provides input and direction on key projects assigned to ensure safe and sanitary working conditions which meet all company and regulatory agency policies. Coordinates maintenance and capital projects with the Maintenance Superintendent and Engineers to ensure profitable operations. Provides technical resources and reviews wastewater management to ensure effective and efficient procedures and processes are implemented and/or followed to achieve minimal wastewater generation during the processing season. Provides resources and information to design systems that develop management and union personnel through training to improve skills and factory performance. To be successful in this position requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field and successful completion of ACSC’s Engineering Trainee program OR 3 years of experience, 5 – 7 years preferred. Knowledge of the sugar processing industry is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization are required. Effective time management skills required.
