About The Position

WGL - Process Engineer (Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Petroleum) I, II, III or IV. Are you a critical thinker and seeking a new challenge? WGL is seeking to complete its Process Engineering team by hiring a Process Engineer at either an level I, II, III or IV. This position will be based at our Springfield, VA facility. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum/Natural Gas preferred required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum/Natural Gas Engineering preferred
  • 0-2 Years experience in piping systems, industrial equipment, and/or project management
  • Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office, for data management, research, analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in a multiple person team on a college project prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and updates piping and equipment standards and specifications
  • Develops engineering standards and specifications, electrical load studies, etc
  • Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical equipment and makes recommendations for repair or replacement, as required
  • Manages a formal equipment testing program including evaluating capacity ratings of equipment, recommendations for maintenance, post-maintenance evaluation, etc
  • Manages specific capital and maintenance projects of medium to large scope, including financial planning, scheduling, equipment specification and procurement, contractor interfacing, development of construction and operating drawings and project documentation
  • Performs engineering analysis and equipment selection, piping design, etc. on various size projects at the direction of senior engineers or the production manager
  • Develops process flow sheets, control loop, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s), and electronic wiring diagrams.
  • Develops and delivers presentations to report project statuses to various audiences.
