About The Position

We are seeking a Display Integration engineer to join our Reality Labs team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these systems. As a key member of our team, you'll explore display integration architectures, process and equipment spaces for wearable systems, develop and analyze novel processes, and drive detailed analysis. In this role, you will be part of a team where you will consistently switch between high-level thinking and meticulous attention to detail for our architectures and process development.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, Optics Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the development of assembly processes and integration for display/optical imaging assemblies
  • Experience about adhesive for optical processes and opto-mechanical processes
  • Knowledge about setting up and implementing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, Gauge R&R, root cause investigation, failure analysis, implement corrective action

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and optimizing novel dicing processes and fixtures (including laser ablation, filament-induced laser machining, and testing optical parts)
  • Proven record of creating and implementing new laser dicing recipes and metrology methods to solve related problems and assess part quality
  • Experience with precision optical assembly and integration -glass bonding, collimator lens assembly, film lamination, and ensuring compatibility with downstream partners
  • Applied knowledge of adhesives and materials for optical and opto-mechanical processes
  • Proficiency in specifying, calibrating, and using optical metrology instruments and managing contamination control in cleanrooms and automation equipment
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with a broad range of colleagues and partners, to drive impact

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel and scalable process and integration for wearable systems
  • Drive detailed design and process development (i.e this could be a range of design reviews, tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFM, FAT, SAT, requirement specifications, Statements of Work (SOW), calibration procedures, and maintenance procedures etc.)
  • Manage failure analysis and corrective action initiatives, driving improvements in yield, reliability, throughput, and unit per hour (UPH) performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams for adoption of new technologies
