Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Paper Science, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing setting desired.
- Effectively utilize computer-based applications including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in team-based activities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Willingness to teach and train others
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing productivity by troubleshooting processes, improving quality, and training operators.
- Collect, analyze, and document process data; monitor key variables and report findings.
- Lead process engineering and continuous improvement initiatives for new and existing products.
- Provide on-call technical support to resolve machine and quality issues, including periodic weekend coverage.
- Conduct development trials to optimize operations on the paper machine and in the converting area.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, including new equipment or chemical solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and lab teams to improve process performance.
- Manage projects such as equipment purchases, installations, process enhancements, and new product development.
- Train and guide operators to ensure proper process execution and understanding.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while performing assigned duties.
