About The Position

Working hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM. This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky. Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry-leading Glatt technology. The Process Engineer develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying, leading, and driving projects that improve manufacturing safety, efficiency, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), or related degree required.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management or continuous improvement projects preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or biotechnology industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage continuous improvement project pipeline to prioritize projects in relation to cost, benefit, and effort.
  • Uses Lean Six Sigma tools to measure, understand, and improve process variability and efficiency.
  • Participate and contribute to corporate rapid improvement adoption sharing program.
  • Ability to manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
  • Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility the Reliability Engineer applies data analysis that can include: Statistical Process Control, Reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Six Sigma (6σ) Methodology, and Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA).
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.
