Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Material Science/Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience and understanding of aerospace and commercial manufacturing and specifications.
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and CAD.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tooling tryout and product development.
  • Build robust forge procedures and work instructions.
  • Standardize the tryout process for all locations.
  • Embrace and promote the company’s culture beliefs as a means to achieve the Key Results.
  • Support other APP, Inc. facilities (including on-site).
  • May be required to work in other Engineering functions like Quality, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Works with Engineering Manager/ Production Manager and coordinate tryout and improvement activities.
  • Interact on the shop floor throughout the company to problem solve and optimize current processes and procedures.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives to achieve Key Results
  • Provide reports and updates to various levels of the organization to achieve desired results.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
