Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Process Engineer based at our Faribault or Burnsville office.  Reporting to the Director of Business Process Optimization, Program Management the Process Engineer requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent facilitation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your contributions will be highly visible and the expectation is continued value returned back to the business. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or energy-related environment.
  • Proficiency in process control systems, statistical analysis tools, and data historians.
  • Familiarity with standard root cause analysis methodologies (KT, is/is-not, fishbone, 5 whys, etc…)
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings to obtain idea generation and innovative process improvements
  • Previous experience leading operations, manufacturing engineering or quality in a production environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and manage resistance to change
  • Know how to use data to influence decision making
  • Ability to create process maps, conduct analysis and implementation of solutions

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with Epicor
  • Data fluency with intermediate statistical capability (Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience owning lean transformations from discovery to sustaining
  • Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost in assigned areas.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects across the organization. Effectively troubleshoot defects and variation, perform root cause analysis, and apply problem solving skills.
  • Drive capital investment, new process introductions, and new technologies to increase organization capabilities.
  • Use metrics to support decision-making and validate improvements.
