About The Position

This position is in their Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products, including poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate. Cargill has announced plans to close its Dayton, Ohio facility, which is expected to remain operational at least through November 2027. Employees who remain through their designated end date and do not transition to another Cargill role may be eligible for retention and separation benefits. The Process Engineer will focus on optimizing interconnected components of a manufacturing system, developing and applying engineering standards and procedures, and providing advice on issues within the engineering field. In this role, the professional will help coordinate plant location, personnel workflow and ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Help manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
• Help conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.
• Establish methods to maximize use of production facilities and personnel.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
